Could you support the Trowbridge Area Link Scheme as a volunteer?

Volunteer Information

Do you live in Trowbridge and the surrounding areas? Could you spare some time to offer transport and support to a person in need?

Trowbridge Link is always looking for people to support our service as a volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to stay active, meet new people and help vulnerable and isolated residents in your community. Roles* include drivers, coordinators and committee members.

Following an interview and DBS check, new volunteers are issued with a driver’s information pack, an identification badge, a Link fleece jacket and a “Hospital Car” card.

*Please note, all prospective volunteers will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Volunteer Drivers

Volunteer Drivers collect clients from their home and take them to medical appointments, social visits and other essential trips. A mileage allowance and out of pocket expenses are paid to Volunteer Drivers.

Link Coordinators

Link Coordinators are responsible for answering calls from clients and liaising with our team of Volunteer Drivers. Link Coordinators may need to prioritise requests for help with transport, depending on volunteer numbers.
